Jeanvieve Massicotte

Hi! My name is Jeanvieve Massicotte, I have been piercing for 6 and a half years in Ottawa, Ontario. Many years back, I started my interest in piercing when I was a rebellious teenager. My first professionally done piercing was my nostril, and I remember watching the piercer set up and just being very intrigued by everything. I continued to get piercings as I got older, just finding myself more and more invested over time. Eventually, figuring I still had the interest, I pursued a piercing apprenticeship. I loved it so much more, and here I am today. Piercing has truly become my calling! My favorite part of piercing is making the person love their body that much more, and having folks leave happier than when they came in. Sometimes I will have clients who open up about insecurities of their ears, being able to adorn them and having folks like their ears is genuinely so wholesome! I would have to say my favorite piercing to do of all time is the conch, there is something satisfying about doing the piercing and seeing the jewelry fill the bowl of the ear perfectly! Infinite Body is hands down one of my favorite jewelry distributors, the polish of each piece is always so perfect to where my clients can see their face in the beads! I also genuinely appreciate all the work that gets put into each singular piece, it is also a rad bonus that the jewelry is Canadian made! Other than piercing (which is 99% of my life, no complaints there!) I am found in my natural habitat, which is the shopping mall. I have admittedly a shopping problem, but I can never get too many new outfits to wear to work! Music is a pretty big staple in my life, it has gotten me through some tough times. My go to right now is Billy Talent and My Chemical Romance!
